The PJTC Social Justice Committee, Louis B. Silver Religious School, and B’nai Simcha are holding a Refugee Relief Drive for to benefit Second Families.

From October 8–October 29, Please bring NEW household cleaning supplies or personal toiletries to the collection box outside of the PJTC lobby on Sundays, or to the Wohlmann Hall porch area on any other day:

Laundry soap, dryer sheets, liquid dish detergent, Comet cleaner, Windex, toilet cleaner, toilet bowl brush, spray Lysol, Scrubbing bubbles, scrub brushes, kitchen sponges, Brillo pads, trash bags, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, aftershave, sanitary pads (no tampons), lotions, nail care items.

Second Families determines household (non food) ongoing needs of about 70 Middle Eastern and African refugee families in the El Cajon area near San Diego. These are among items that are not covered in the stipends from resettlement agencies.
